The List is a list Alex Standall contributed to after his breakup with Jessica Davis. He contributed to it to anger Jessica, because she didn't want to have sex with him, by listing Hannah Baker as "Best Ass" and Jessica as "Worst Ass", ending her and Hannah's friendship. The List is, according to Hannah, one of the reasons why Bryce Walker assaulted her, as well as further growing her reputation as a slut.
In the book, there is a version where Clay Jensen kissed Angie Romero because of the list, since it made him realize how beautiful her lips actually were.
The List is first seen and mentioned in " Tape 2, Side A", when the kids in school are talking about it, and last seen and mentioned in " The Drunk Slut", when it is used as evidence in Hannah's trial.
