And speaking of wallpaper, the photo that you can see here is likely to be the official one planned for Windows 11, though there’s always a chance Microsoft uses this image only for testing builds, with a different background to be used once the operating system is finalized.

Needless to say, the wallpaper comes with two different versions, light and dark, which seems to suggest that Microsoft might implement a new feature in Windows 11 that may be borrowed from macOS.

Windows 11 coming in the fall

For example, Windows 11 could be able to automatically switch from the light mode to the dark visual style based on the time of day, therefore making the operating system overall feel more dynamic. The switch would allow the dark mode to be automatically enabled on the device, with Windows 11 therefore switching to the appropriate theme and possibly changing the wallpaper to the dark version.

Windows 11 is projected to go live in the fall of this year, with Microsoft very likely to begin rolling out testing builds as part of the Windows Insider program shortly after the June 24 event.

Windows 11 will come with a new Start menu inspired by the one in Windows 10X, the dual-screen operating system that has already been discontinued. Of course, other major improvements are also planned, including rounded corners and other visual and feature updates that would give Windows 11 a completely modern approach as compared to Windows 10.
