After four days of unrelenting rainfall and far too much petroleum consumption for our generator, we finally begin a day with sunshine.
Early today, because of low-lying fog in the valleys below, I thought we might be fogged-in on our mountain heights, but the fog dissipated by sunrise.
We should have a good day of steady, quiet solar generation as a result.

When we lived in Yorkshire, I used up some water based gloss paint one winter evening to paint our front door. It was a foggy night. The fog did not go for three days, and the paint did not dry. In fact, it absorbed water and the paint began to run, until I wiped it all off with paper towels. To this day, there is a red stain on the stone threshold.
