El objeto del trabajo radica en analizar el problema de lo que se denominarán analizadores (o decodificadores) y transductores neuro-mentales. Al inicio, se propone inscribir el trabajo dentro de una serie de tradiciones científicas, filosóficas y tecnológicas. Luego de una breve introducción al campo temático, se contextualiza el marco conceptual en el que debería inscribirse la investigación sobre analizadores y transductores neuro-mentales. A continuación, se define el concepto de analizador-transductor neuro-mental, precisando sus alcances y límites. A modo de complemento, se enumeran y describen ejemplos reales e hipotéticos de analizadores y transductores neuromentales. Luego, se esboza el marco propositivo y las directrices principales para avanzar hacia un programa de investigación en neuropsicología cognitiva, cuyo objeto radique en el descubrimiento de analizadores neuro-mentales pasibles de ser transducidos en sistemas artificiales de representación. Finalmente, se procede a analizar y discutir una serie de obstáculos teóricos críticos que habría que resolver, a modo de condición necesaria para avanzar hacia un auténtico programa de investigación en neuropsicología cognitiva. Se concluye sosteniendo que se está ante un terreno epistemológico fértil, pero aún demasiado incipiente que hace prematuro conjeturar sobre su posible evolución.

The cognitive-behavioral model has appeared in the end of the 1950's with the works of Albert Ellis, and more especially cognitive therapy (CT) in the beginning of the 1960's with Aaron T. Beck. Since then, it has been exerting a strong impact both on the formulation of new etiological models for mental disorders and on their treatment. Beck, a psychiatrist with a psychoanalytical training, while doing research with depressed patients, having as his reference the psychoanalytical model for depression, had his attention turned to the fact that in this disorder, patients have a distorted and negative appraisals of themselves, of their surrounding world and of the future. He then formulated the hypothesis that such a negative cognitive triad would stem from negative, rigid and non realistic cognitive schemas, formed during childhood due to the interactions with the environment, that would be the critical elements for the development, maintenance and recurrence of depression. 1 Coherently with this theoretical model, he developed a set of techniques aiming at correcting these distorted beliefs and, therefore, relieving the depressive symptoms. CT has thus appeared as a new explanatory model for the origins and maintenance of depressive symptoms and their treatment. Controlled clinical trials have subsequently found that CT had a similar efficacy of that observed with the use of antidepressants in the treatment of depression. 2,3 Explanatory hypotheses based on the more general cognitive model have been suggested for anxiety disorders, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorder and social anxiety, chemical dependency, eating and personality disorders. The explanatory models of all these disorders propose a role for the errors in the processing of information as predisposing factors for a cognitive vulnerability, which, associated with genetic, neurobiological and environmental factors interact in the development and maintenance of symptoms. Currently, cognitive models are being investigated for other disorders, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders, among others, aiming to integrate them with the recent breakthroughs on molecular neurobiology, neuropsychology and genetics. Neuroimaging studies have demonstrated the neurobiological correlates of the action of CT in the brain. 4 The more comprehensive term " cognitive-behavioral therapy " (CBT) is the most usual nowadays, as it simultaneously uses the typical interventions of the cognitive model, such as the techniques for the correction of dysfunctional beliefs and thoughts and incorporates behavioral techniques of the behavioral therapy, such as exposure and the use of reinforcers, among others. La Arteriopatía Cerebral Autosómica Dominante con Infartos Subcorticales y Leucoencefalopatía (CADASIL), es producida por mutaciones en el gen NOTCH3, es la causa hereditaria más común de accidentes cerebrovasculares isquémicos repetidos. Objetivo: establecer el desempeño cognitivo en portadores asintomáticos con las mutaciones R1031C Y R141C. Método: estudio observacional, analítico transversal. Se dividieron en tres grupos: portadores asintomáticos con mutación R1031C (n=39), asintomáticos con mutación R141C (n=8) y no portadores (n=50). Resultados: se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas (p<0.05) entre el grupo de portadores asintomáticos de la mutación R1031C y los no portadores en praxias construccionales, función ejecutiva y razonamiento abstracto. En la mutación R141C, se observaron puntuaciones bajas en función ejecutiva y cálculo mental. O presente artigo aborda a vinculação contemporânea entre vida e informação no campo das biotecnologias e neurociências, explorando suas implicações do ponto de vista da subjetividade. Nesse domínio, tratamos, mais especificamente, do papel do pensamento para o governo de si. Partindo da arqueologia foucaultiana, aponta-se a articulação entre vida e linguagem no âmbito das ciências humanas como eixo fundamental no qual o pensamento assume função estético-política. Em seguida, observa-se que os domínios referidos - vida e linguagem - sofreram notáveis transformações com o desenvolvimento da biologia molecular, biotecnologias e neurociências. A vida não seria apenas representável à consciência, mas está se tornando linguagem informacional, de modo que o pensamento passa da atividade interpretativa à gerenciadora de informação. Assim, cabe problematizar os novos contornos que o pensar assume na contemporaneidade, procurando entender os dispositivos de saber e poder presentes em dois âmbitos: os testes de pré-disposição genética e a hipótese do marcado somático.
