Works as expected on newer TV's. However on older TV's, it may not work. I have a 4k TV where this works w/o issues. But on my 1080p 5yr TV, I get no picture or sound. However, windows will detect the proper device/settings. So not sure what the issue is.
Btw, I use TV's for monitors as they are cheaper for the same quality, and I don't need <10ms response times.

Doesn't work for 4K 60Hz. Yes, my MacBook is capable, as is my display, and they work fine together at full 4K resolution, full 60Hz refresh rate, and full 4:4:4 unsubsampled color when connected with either a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable or an HDMI to HDMI cable. This cable supposedly converts from Mini DisplayPort to HDMI, but all I got out of it was a blank screen.
