100 Days into the Year. 1 Month at Home

Today is the 100th day of the year… and that is significant because for the last two years, I’ve had at least 1 thing to master in 100 days. The first time I started doing this was in 2018 and New Years Day I committed to learning Bohemian Rhapsody on the Ukulele, just like Jake Shimabukuro.

Then again in 2019, I did While My Guitar Gently Weeps on the Ukulele, just like Jake Shimabukuro.

End of last year, my goal was to get as many certifications as I could in 100 days, that’s when I rapidfire got my CCSP, CRISC, and CISM. But I was at a loss at the beginning of this year. A lot has happened in the world that has changed life as we know it. Literally.

At the beginning of the year there was talks about a Coronavirus that was plaguing China and other parts of Asia… it eventually swept over to the United States and now everyone is trying to stay home to prevent the spread the of disease. The weather hasn’t been more beautiful during this time, gas is cheap, the economy sucks, about 17,000,000 have filed for unemployment (10% of the working population), and people are dying (we quickly became the world leader in most people affected and most deaths) while some think it’s a hoax or being blown out of proportion.

For the last month, both Jaime and I have been working from home to help flatten the curve. It hasn’t been bad as we have a lot to keep us busy and we’ve been socializing with our friends through conference applications… so that’s nice.

For the next 100 days, I’m going to learn Sweet Child O Mine on the Ukulele and I’m going to focus on AWS training. I’m also going to start using this website a little more.
