HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLOTTE: Cheeky princess in adorable photographs, taken by mum Kate
PRINCESS Charlotte has been photographed walking for the first time in adorable official photographs as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrate their little girl's first birthday.

It has been a year since William and Kate stood outside the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London holding their new baby daughter.
The Royal couple have been eagerly preparing as they celebrate their daughter Princess Charlotte's first birthday today.
Kensington Palace yesterday released special images of the tot, taken by the Duchess of Cambridge at their Anmer Hall home.
A spokesperson for William and Kate said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to be able to share four new photographs of Princess Charlotte.

"They were taken by The Duchess in April at their home in Norfolk.
"The Duke and Duchess are very happy to be able to share these important family moments and hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do."
Charlotte was first introduced to the public on the day of her birth, May 2 2015, and the first photos of the tiny little girl were captured by the world's media.
Named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana after her grandmother and great-grandmother, the Royal princess has since only been seen in a handful of snaps marking big events - until now.

The four new pictures offer an intimate snapshot of how the young princess has grown up during her first 12 months.
One of the new photos shows Charlotte in a pink cardigan with a white collar, worn over a soft pink floral dress, as she sits on the floor at home gazing at the camera with big blue eyes similar to those of her brother.
Another shows a grinning princess wearing the same attire, with a pink clip pinning her hair to one side, as she pushes a colourful baby walker full of alphabet blocks outside on the lawn, a determined look on her face.

A third photograph shows her leaning on a wooden chair, this time wearing a cream cardigan over a blue dress with a blue ribbon clip in her hair.
And a final photograph shows Charlotte's startling resemblance to George as she clambers on a wicker chair, playfully glancing back towards the camera.
To celebrate their Princess Charlotte's big day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to spend the day at their country home Anmer Hall with their daughter and son Prince George, along with close friends and family.

Hundreds of fans of the pretty princess have taken to social media to gush over Princess Charlotte's adorable outfits.
One user tweeted: "It looks like Princess Charlotte is outdoing her brother for the hypothetical "cutest Royal" award!"
Another added: "So cute of princess Charlotte ... Can't believe she has a wooden block trolley like I did years ago!!!"
The photos were released a day after the Duchess was revealed to be on the latest cover of Vogue.
One Twitter user said: "I'm sure Princess Charlotte will be on the cover one day, just like her mum and grandmother."

When Prince George turned one in 2014, it is believed Kate's mum Carole Middleton hosted a Peter Rabbit-themed party at the Middleton family home in Berkshire.
As with George's first birthday, a visit to the Queen is also likely, so Her Majesty can wish her great-granddaughter a happy birthday in person.
Kate told ITV's Our Queen at Ninety programme: "The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington, she was one of our first visitors here.
"The Queen is very fond of Charlotte and takes an interest in what she gets up to."
