Mu Zi You was the only daughter of Mu YingRui (a general's eldest son) and Dier (a demigod). Her parents wasn't in love with one another and after her mother's death, her father remarried. Her stepmother, Wang Yiping, was always scheming against her. But, in her previous life, she thought Wang Yiping did all that out of love.
Mu Zi You married Zhao HongXiang, a noble's son. Under her stepmother's tutelage, Mu Zi You was incapable to handle household matters. And so, she was looked down by her husband, his family and the servants.
Without knowing her stepmother's evil scheme, Mu Zi You agreed when her stepmother suggested that Lan Xuan (Mu Zi You's best friend and Wan Ping's niece), enter her household to assist her. Of course, the seductress Lan Xuan managed to captivated Zhao HongXiang and she later became the second wife.
Mu Zi You's life became hell on earth until she was murdered by both her husband and best friend alongside her unborn baby. She was reborn into her 12 years old self before all the tragedy occurs and vowed revenge.
I won't say much on what happen after she was reborn because it's a classic revenge story. Instead of using her power as a demigod and her status as a general's granddaughter, Mu Zi You opted for a slow burn revenge. It was a tedious read because the more she prolonged her revenge, the more readers can see something bad will happen. Of course tag as reverse harem meant Mu Zi You will be assist not just by one male but a group of them.
The story was certainly from an ancient time. If the writer did some research, surely they'll know that at age 12, Mu Zi You should have been married with kids already. It was a common thing back then. Her father was called middle age in the story which would make him around 45 years old, which also meant Mu Zi You was born when he was 33 years old. Does that even make sense?
