PicoQuant Introduces New Picosecond Pulsed Diode Lasers At 395 nm And 420 nm

Laser heads 395 and 420 nm

The Berlin specialist in single photon counting applications extends its number of available laser heads to more than 50 different wavelengths between 375 nm and 1990 nm

PicoQuant GmbH announces the extension of its range of  picosecond pulsed diode lasers with two new laser heads emitting at 395 nm and 420 nm. With these new types, already more than 50 different laser heads operating at wavelengths between 375 nm and 1990 nm are now available.

The two new laser heads are ideal for exciting e.g. porphyrin or phthalocyanin containing samples in fluorescence microscopy or fluorescence spectroscopy. With pulse durations as short as 70 ps, they are perfectly match the time resolution of mainstream detectors, yet at a price much lower than of mode-locked lasers or nanosecond flashlamps. The two laser heads are also available in a dual mode version that allows picosecond pulsed as well as continuous-wave operation.

With the release of the new models, PicoQuant's diode laser family “LDH Series” now covers the entire wavelength range from 375 nm to 1990 nm. All laser heads come with collimator optics that can optionally be fitted with optical fibers. The new 395 nm and 420 nm laser heads are compatible with PicoQuant's family of diode laser drivers “PDL Series”.
