Let’s talk about the San Antonio Spurs 1999 NBA Championship

If you are like me, then you spent a few nights this week watching games 1, ,2, 4, and 5 of the 1999 NBA Finals on Fox Sports Southwest. It’s great to reminisce. The San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks. No Patrick Ewing. The first ABA team to make the Finals.

Four of the five starters from that historic series have their jerseys hanging in the rafters: Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Sean Elliott, and Avery Johnson have become legends of that end of the millennium series. Trivia: who is the starter whose number is not retired by the Spurs?
