Regarded as the ‘fight of the year’ that fans have been waiting for since UFC 189 where Aldo was injured and pulled out, McGregor more than lived up to his blatant declared greatness by quickly dispatching of Aldo, a dominant champion who was undefeated for 10 years, taking the biggest win of his career.

A year's worth of verbal warfare was resolved in seconds as McGregor bested “Rowdy” Ronda’s 14-second title fight finish, sliding away from Aldo’s charging right hand and connecting with a pinpoint left to the face, which dropped the Brazilian kingpin flat – a couple hammerfists sealed the deal as Big John McCarthy called off the fight in front of a frenzied partisan Irish crowd.
