Updates for IT Administrators
Updated WiX to version 3.14.1 which addresses CVE 2024-29187, where a local attacker could elevate privileges when the Camtasia installer is running, and CVE 2024-29188, where a local attacker could elevate privileges to delete files when the Camtasia installer is running.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where video streams on certain MP4 files would not be recognized.

Camtasia 8 has a big problem with rendering (specifically the XviD codec) ...

Past versions of Camtasia have had a serious problem with recording audio, indeed attempts to record audio in a video clip have proved impossible. This version is no exception. If you merely wish to record activity on your screen without audio then this is easy to use but if you want audio I would suggest Total Screen Recorder, which works straight out of the box. Camtasia is grossly overpriced at US#299.
